Yate Shopping Centre, Home Bargains Enabling Works

Black Cat was appointed to manage the strip out of all interior finishes, thus taking the building back to ‘shell’.  An integral part of this process was to remove a large amount of asbestos material which required adherence to very strict health and safety procedures.

Given that Home Bargains did not require the extensive first floor accommodation, Black Cat was also instructed to undertake ‘enabling works’ to this floor to facilitate its future conversion to residential accommodation.  This principally involved installing an above and below ground drainage network to serve nine apartments.
