The property comprises of purpose-built student residential accommodation and built in 2014. The accommodation includes 386 bedrooms constructed in three blocks around an internal courtyard and arranged over 8 and 9 storeys.
Following the fire at Grenfell Tower, there was much concern and comment about potential flaws in the cladding. The use of Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) as a cladding for multi storey buildings was a genuine health and safety issue.
Following a detailed review of the cladding specification and independent specialist reports we were able to advise the Client on the risks and potential replacement costs associated with the cladding which allowed them to proceed with the purchase.
