Utilising existing base plans and partial measured information of the shopping centre, inspections were carried out over several days to obtain floor areas of the component parts which include retail units and malls, a multi-storey car park, a Public House, several residential flats and service road and totalled 847,777 sq ft.
Using construction rates from the Building Cost Information Service, the RCA was compiled for the whole shopping centre to ensure the landlord has the correct level of building insurance in place.
