Opportunities and Growth

Black Cat Building Consultancy are always excited to meet new people and potential employees whether it simply be for a chat or even to discuss an opportunity. This business has grown considerably in its first twelve months and remains debt free, self funded and retains healthy cash reserves.

To date much or our growth has centred around our existing contacts and long established relationships. We have recruited only the most senior and experienced individuals with a proven track record and established client relationships. Occasionally we will meet someone who is earlier in their career with drive and passion which we are unable to simply ignore.

We are particularly keen to meet individuals or even established teams in other key cities around the UK who may have a similar corporate background to the existing team as we strive to establish new offices around the UK.
The business is built upon transparency and trust. All employees have access to all areas and all documents, they understand our cost base and decisions are made as a group. The only way to fully understand just how open and refreshing the Black Cat way is, is to meet our existing employees who are best placed to represent us.

Annual Leave

Black Cat Building Consultancy do not track people’s holidays. This “non policy” has already lead to increased morale, creativity and productivity. Simply stated, the policy-that-isn’t strictly a policy permits all salaried staff to take time off whenever they want for as long as they want.

We leave our employees alone to decide if and when they feel like taking a few hours, a day, a week or a month off, the assumption being that you are only going to take leave when you feel a hundred per cent comfortable that the team are up to date on every project and that your absence will not in any way impact upon our clients.

Black Cat recognise that with todays technology our time on the job with smart phones and the like could never be reconciled with the old-fashioned corporate time-off policy. As a result if we are no longer able to accurately track employees’ total time working, we also accept that we need to adopt a different approach to the time away from the job policies of old.

The company believes that we should focus on what people get done, not on how many hours or days they work. Just as we don’t have a nine-to-five policy, we don’t need an annual leave policy. During all time away from the office our employees are entitled to their normal rate of pay.
